my secret turkey burger recipe

Below are the various recipes that are needed to make my famous turkey burger, aka “the gobbler” (aka the burger that’s SO GOOD it can’t be that easy!😆🍔) To learn how to add all of this together to make you very own gobbler burger, you can watch me put it all together on my IGTV.

turkey patties

  • 1 pound / 453g fresh turkey meat
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder (generous)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (generous)
  • ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ cup / 13g sundried tomatoes (generous, chopped)
  1. Add all of the ingredients into a mixing bowl and combine.

  2. Form patties at whatever size you would like. I usually do about 2 large patties and one small patty for my kids.

roasted bell peppers

  • 4 whole bell peppers (any color)
  • olive oil (for drizzling)
  • kosher salt, generous (for sprinkling)
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F / 205°C.

  2. Take the whole bell pepper and cut down the sides leaving the middle intact.

  3. Cut off the white part of the bell pepper to remove any bitterness from the pepper.

  4. Place peppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. Drizzle the peppers with extra-virgin olive oil.

  6. Make sure the peppers are lathered with olive oil on both sides of the pepper and place each piece back on the parchment paper with the skin facing up.

  7. Sprinkle the tops with kosher salt.

  8. Place the peppers in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the skins start to blister.

garlic aioli

  • ½ cup / 115g high-quality, store bought mayonnaise (generous)
  • ½ clove (or one small clove) garlic
  • squeeze of lemon juice
  • freshly cracked pepper
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  1. Add the generous ½ to 1 cup of mayonnaise to a mixing bowl.

  2. Using a garlic press, you can mince the ½ to 1 garlic clove (depending on the size of the clove) straight into the bowl with the mayonnaise or you can chop your garlic really fine and add it to the mayonnaise.

  3. Cut a lemon in half and then squeeze the cut lemon into the bowl of mayonnaise.

  4. Stir all of the ingredients together to combine them. The lemon juice will help loosen the mayonnaise and bring it to the right consistency.

  5. Crack fresh pepper over your new aioli mixture and then sprinkle a pinch of kosher salt over the mixture. Stir to combine.
